Meetings and calls
Troubleshooting
Fix camera, microphone, sound, connection and browser problems, and how to report a problem.
Others can't hear me
#- Check you aren't muted (press M) or on hold.
- Open the arrow next to Mute and pick the right microphone.
- If the microphone button says it is blocked, allow the microphone for cheapmeet.com in your browser's site settings, then choose it again.
- Close other apps that might be using the microphone, then reload.
- Test your microphone in Settings → Audio & video with Test mic and the input level meter.
I can't hear others
#Open the arrow next to Mute and pick the right speaker, check your computer's volume, and use Test speaker in Settings → Audio & video. If you use headphones, plug them in before joining or pick them again from the menu.
My camera doesn't work
#Press V to turn it on, pick the right camera from the arrow next to Camera, and allow the camera in your browser's site settings if it says it is blocked. Only one app can use a camera at a time on some computers: close other video apps and reload.
Poor quality or dropping calls
#Turn off HD video in Settings → Audio & video, turn your camera off, move closer to your Wi-Fi router or use a cable, and close other apps that use the network. If your connection drops, CheapMeet keeps your place for 60 seconds and reconnects on its own.
Supported browsers
#Use a recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on a laptop or desktop. Pop-out windows work in Chrome and Edge; Safari shows a floating video instead, and Firefox doesn't support it. On a phone, use Safari (iPhone, iPad) or Chrome (Android) to join meetings and calls (see Join from your phone) and to use your calendar. The rest of the app isn't currently supported on mobile: it needs a screen at least 1024 pixels wide.
Report a problem
#In a call, choose More, then Report a problem to email support@cheapmeet.com with the call's reference filled in. Rating a call Okay or Poor afterwards also helps. For anything else, email support@cheapmeet.com.
