FAQ
Answers to common questions.
Do guests need an account?
#No. Guests open the link, type a name, check their camera and mic, and ask to join. If the meeting uses a waiting room, the host admits them. Workspace admins can turn anonymous guests off or restrict meetings to invited people.
What are the limits on the free plan?
#A free workspace has up to 5 members, meetings of up to 4 people and 45 minutes, and 1,000 call minutes a month shared across all meetings. A minute is one person in a call for one minute, voice or video. Admins see usage on the workspace settings page and get a warning before the limit.
Do I need to install anything?
#No app installation is required. Use a laptop or desktop browser for the full workspace. Meeting join and call screens also have phone layouts; some workspace and administration pages still require a wider screen.
Can we join from the meeting room TV?
#Yes. Open the meeting link in a browser on the computer that drives the TV, with a webcam on top. One person drives with a keyboard and mouse; everyone in the room is in the call.
Is chat included, or just calls?
#Both. Every workspace has direct messages and group chats next to its meetings, with mentions, reactions, pins, files and search. Start a voice or video call from any thread.
Can we share screens and draw together?
#Yes. Share a screen, a window or a browser tab, or open a whiteboard everyone in the meeting can draw on. Hosts decide who can draw, and the board can be posted to the meeting chat.
How do you decide who can join?
#Owners invite people and set member roles, guest access and meeting waiting rooms. Domain joining is off by default; an owner can enable it for eligible verified email addresses. Personal email domains cannot be used for domain joining.
What happens to our data if we stop using it?
#Chats and meeting history stay for 90 days after a workspace is closed or suspended, then they are deleted. Owners of a closed workspace can download an export or reopen it during that time.
Can people join a meeting by phone?
#With Meeting Phone Access, an optional add-on for paid workspaces, meeting details and invitations show a dial-in number and a numeric meeting code. Phone callers can wait for the meeting to start or for the host to let them in. Phone products are a preview and not on sale yet; the proposed prices are listed under Phone for Starter and Business.
How does phone billing work?
#As proposed, Business Phone and Meeting Phone Access each have their own subscription, and calls are paid per minute from one prepaid balance per workspace. Purchased credit rolls over. At zero, new calls cannot start, except emergency calls; calls already connected continue. Automatic top-up is optional and needs the owner to agree. These prices are a preview, not current purchase offers, and the calculator only estimates; it never charges anything.
Can meetings be recorded?
#Not yet. Meetings aren't recorded.
Can I edit or cancel a scheduled meeting?
#Yes. The organizer, or a workspace owner or admin, can edit, cancel, relink or switch off a meeting from its details. See Change or cancel a meeting. For a recurring meeting, you choose whether a change is for one appointment, the following ones or the whole series.
